Today the ACCA & CDSB published a new report [http://cdsb.cdnf.net/sites/default/files/acca_cdsb_mapping_the_sustainability_landscape_lost_in_the_right_direction.pdf] to propose development opportunities for the future of corporate sustainability reporting.

This report explores the changing corporate sustainability reporting landscape, outlines its components, addresses current challenges and proposes development opportunities. It provides a considered overview of the trends, levers and drivers influencing the reporting landscape. It also proposes ideas to prompt discussion among professionals involved in reporting who seek standardisation, rationalisation and order.

Signing the Paris Agreement: what does it mean for business? [http://www.cdsb.net/cop-21/567/signing-paris-agreement-what-does-it-mean-business]

With the historic Paris Agreement signed by the world's governments, its ability to deliver rests in the hands of the market.

To meet the 2°C or lower target outlined by the agreement, governments will need the support of additional actors. The role of businesses will be crucial to implement changes and they have a unique opportunity to lead the way. With increased legislative demand, political pressure, as well as investor demands, companies are starting to respond to a changing landscape.

Corporations and climate change: who will lead the way? [http://www.forbes.com/sites/bobeccles/2016/04/26/corporations-and-climate-change-who-will-lead-the-way/#3a12d70a60ab]

Jane Stevensen sat down with Dr Bob Eccles to discuss fiduciary duty and the Paris Agreement.

The Climate Statement is a shared commitment by an influential coalition of companies and investors to produce and use climate-related information in mainstream reporting through the Climate Change Reporting Framework. The expectation is that once this coalition of first-mover companies and investors begins to report to their investors, it will generate a "herd effect" within the wider corporate and financial communities.
